It all started with...
It’s a story that began in 2017, as a family adventure — back when I was still a student.
With Philip, my partner in life and in work, we wanted to create the kind of jewelry I couldn’t find anywhere else: modern, durable, and accessible pieces you can wear every day — without having to think about them, or take them off.
Waekura is a small brand with a small team, where everyone wears many hats.
I take care of everything you see: the jewelry and its inspirations, the photos, the website, and all our communication.

We’ve weathered a few storms along the way, but we’re still standing — with the same passion as day one.
I draw endless inspiration from the South and the Mediterranean: golden light, sun-warmed textures, and the soft shades of nature.
My goal? To design pieces that feel essential but effortless — subtle touches that elevate any outfit without ever overdoing it.

Mélissa draws her inspiration from Mediterranean light, summer materials, the subtle tones of nature. Sketches follow, then prototypes emerge from the ateliers.
We refine, adjust, start again — until the piece becomes exactly what it was meant to be: light, precise, effortless.
